AAUP Chapter News
Dear Truman chapter:
Just to get you all charged up for next week’s chapter meeting, Feb. 1,
I thought that I would send materials from Missouri Conference of AAUP,
which has been VERY busy at Mizzou these days. The cartoon, the
background articles on the new president of Mizzou, and the minutes of
their most recent chapter meeting–all let you know that things are
cooking in Columbia. Lots of new member, etc., and so the Mo-Conference
will be held there next month:

The State AAUP Conference will be holding its meeting at the University
of Missouri-Columbia in February. The date of this meeting will be
February 23, 2008. Katie Mackie (on intellectual property) and Erika
Gubrium (organizer from AAUP National Office) are expected to speak. The
exact time and place is yet to be determined.

Finally, a local triumph–a very serious, finely crafted article by our
own Monica Barron, recently published in AAUP Academe.
Read and learn!
