Meetings are open to all University faculty members.
The following members were in attendance: Marc Becker, Kathryn Brammall, Keith Doubt, Stephanie Fore, Janice Grow, David Gruber, James Harmon, and Judi Misale.
President Keith Doubt announced the web page had been transferred to Marc Becker (http://www.yachana.org/aaup), and that the University continues not to respond to AAUP’s request to be on the University web page.
Treasurer James Harmon read the Treasurer’s report, reporting disbursement on 5-Apr of $42.40 to Judi Misale for expenses of distributing the State of the University survey results, and a balance of $230.99.
Keith Doubt thanked Misale for her fine work in summarizing and distributing the survey.
Doubt suggest that with his leaving imminent new officers should be nominated, and ballets sent out. After a considered discussion, the following slate was named:
Gary Jones, president
Janice Grow, vice president
Marc Becker, secretary
James Harmon, treasurer
The following names were suggested for members-at-large: Judi Misale, David Gruber, John Ramsbottom.
There was a discussion about extending the Faculty Attrition report, including whom and when to survey, to the faculty leaving this year. Marc Becker and Stephanie Fore agreed to collect names of faculty who are leaving.
There was an informal discussion on concerns of the faculty, including formal and informal benefits such as tuition benefits to family, and recreation center and library privileges to faculty spouses. There was a discussion about concerns that the administration is not nurturing to faculty once they are here.
David Gruber presented a resolution expressing appreciation to Keith Doubt for his service to the AAUP and wishing him well in his future at Wittenberg University. James Harmon made the motion to approve the Resolution, seconded by Janice Grow. The Resolution was unanimously approved, and is below.

Whereas Professor Keith Doubt has served the Truman State University
chapter of AAUP, the University, and the academic community with dedication
and commitment, and
Whereas Keith has given extensively of his time and energy to serve as AAUP
President, and
Whereas Keith’s commitment to the condition and character of the faculty
has led him to be both steadfast and adamant in his care of the university
community and its professional health, even to the point of raising
necessary but sometimes uncomfortable issues,
Therefore Be It Resolved That the Truman State University Chapter of the
American Association of University Professors commends Keith’s service,
expresses its appreciation to him, and wishes him well in his future at
Wittenberg University.
