Minutes, Truman Chapter of AAUP

May 5, 2006, 4:30 pm

University Club

Meetings are open to all university faculty members.

Faculty present: Judi Misale (presiding), Martha Bartter, Marc Becker, Roger Festa, James Harmon, Diane Johnson; Betty Mclane-Iles, Lynn Rose

1. Minutes of April 7 were approved.

2. Officer elections.  President: Betty Mclane-Iles: Vice-President: Judi Misale; Secretary: Mark Nordstrom; Treasurer: James Harmon; Members at Large: Diane Johnson & Lynn Rose

3. Report on State of University survey.  Judi presented the results of the annual AAUP survey.  Preliminary analysis of the data is that morale continues to decline partially because of factors like low salaries but commitment to the University remains relatively high.  We will post the survey to the webpage and have a meeting with the administration to discuss the results at some point in the near future.

4. Adjournment, 6:00 PM

Respectfully submitted by Marc Becker, Secretary
