AAUP Truman chapter meeting, November 19, 2013
Attendance: Marc Rice, Wolfgang Hoeschele

Our primary order of business was to finalize the questions for the faculty survey that we will conduct early next semester. The purpose of the survey will be to assess faculty morale and opinions regarding faculty resources, including salaries and research funding. The results will be shared with faculty, Administration, and the Board of Governors.

The survey will go out the week of January 27, the third week of the Spring semester. The next AAUP meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21. However, one idea that was discussed was to have a luncheon meeting in the SUB, hoping to attract as many faculty members as possible to discuss the roll-out of the survey. In the first weeks of the Spring semester we will conduct a Doodle poll to see if there is enough interest to make that feasible.
