We are happy to announce that Bill Alexander (Biology) and Yuna Ferguson (Psychology) have been elected to three-year terms on the Executive Council of the Truman State University chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP). These are campus-wide service positions and all faculty had the opportunity to vote for their representatives.
Bill will continue in the position and Yuna replaces Mark Hatala whose diligent labor over the past year has been essential in providing leadership not only for the AAUP but for faculty and the campus as a whole.
We have much work ahead of us to protect and advance our common interests, especially those among us who are the most vulnerable. These include non-tenured faculty, both tenure-track and contingent, as we advance into uncertain times. Please join us as we work together to realize the full potential of this fine institution.
In solidarity,
The Truman State AAUP Executive Council (2021-2022)
Bill Alexander (Biology)
Marc Becker (History)
Laura Bigger (Art)
Anton Daughters (Anthropology)
Stacy Davis (CML & Education)
Yuna Ferguson (Psychology)
Christine Harker (English)
