Dear Colleagues,
The Truman chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP)
is currently requesting faculty participation in the sixth annual “State of the
University” survey. Results provide valuable information about how we, the
faculty, perceive current key issues, as well as offering data on opinion trends
over recent years. The findings of this survey will only be used to inform the
University community. Results will be shared with faculty senators and
administration officials to assist in the cooperative governance of this
University.
Our goal is to reflect faculty opinion as accurately as possible. Of course, the
greater the response rate, the better picture we get of the current state of the
University as perceived by faculty. Your participation therefore represents an
important contribution.
This year it is even easier to participate because we moved to an on-line
presentation of the “State of the University” survey. As always, completing the
survey takes very little of your time, but can have important implications. The
survey is only 16 items plus demographics, so it should take no more than 10-12
minutes to complete. To take the survey, go to
http://survey.truman.edu/takeSurvey.asp?surveyID=109 and logon with your
University username and password.
Help us in this effort to understand faculty opinion on these important topics.
The survey will be available to access and complete through Friday, November 19.
